Topic: Remember His Miracles Of Long Ago!
Text: Psalm 77: 7-12
“7 Will the Lord reject forever? Will He never show His favor again? 8 Has His unfailing love vanished forever? Has His promise failed for all time? 9 Has God forgotten to be merciful? Has He in anger withheld His compassion?”
10 Then I thought, “To this I will appeal: the years when the Most High stretched out his right hand. 11 I will remember the deeds of theLord; yes, I will remember your miracles of long ago. 12 I will consider all your works and meditate on all your mighty deeds.” Amen
Once upon a time when things became tough for king David, He begun to question God, “Will the Lord reject forever? Will He never show his favor again?
But those thoughts were only going to be a stumbling block to his faith. He later appealed those thoughts by contrasting them with the miracles of the past. He meditated over the goodness of the Lord in times past when he didn’t even deserve it.
In his meditation, He realised there were lots to trust and praise God for than worry. He worshiped: “13 Your ways, God, are holy. What god is as great as our God? 14 You are the God who performs miracles; you display your power among the peoples. 15 With your mighty arm you redeemed your people, the descendants of Jacob and Joseph. (Psalm 77: 13- 15)
Dearly Beloved, when you get to the red sea in this year, remember the miracles of the Lord in times past and begin to worship. The sea will give way for your safe passage, yet drown all the “pharaohs” pursuing you into despair.
Begin to pray. Arm yourself with grace and strength for the challenges to come. Never stop praising God for the miracles of yesterday. He inhabits our praise to do greater miracles than we have known in the past. Watch and be blessed:https://youtu.be/4TXn9YUXyT0
