Topic: Reassurance, Not A Wrong Idea After All!
Text: Genesis 46: 3-4a

3 “I am God, the God of your father,” the voice said. “Do not be afraid to go down to Egypt, for there I will make your family into a great nation. 4 I will go with you down to Egypt, and I will bring you back again.” Amen

After Joseph had revealed his true identify to his brothers, he sent them back home with many provisions and asked them to return to Egypt with their little children, wives, and their father. (Genesis 45:17-20)

When their father heard that his beloved son Joseph was alive, he was stunned. And when he saw the wagons Joseph had sent to carry him, his spirit was revived. (Genesis 45: 26, 27).

But his excitement couldn’t erase the uncertainties that surrounded his future in a foreign land. So when he came to Beersheba, he stopped to pray (offer sacrifices) to the God of his father, Isaac.

Many of us have received very astounding proclamations about this new year. Some have had spectacular visions and dreams which reveal that this year will surely be GOOD!

Yet in the midst of all these, feelings of uncertainty may arise along the way. When we experience these feelings, it doesn’t necessarily mean that we have lost faith in God. They rather offer opportunies to pause and seek the face of God for reassurance. These
“reassurances” encourage our patience, faith and determination. Going back to God for clarity or confirmation is always very useful.

Begin to Apray! Ask God to make you hear His voice each time He directs you unto greater opportunities. Watch and be blessed: https://youtu.be/I38W3WEJV4M
