Today’s Devotion
Topic: Let Him Lead The Way!
Text: Psalm 32: 8
8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you. Amen
This is a brand new year. It will be wrong to assume that the strategies applied successfully in the previous year will perfectly apply to the demands of this year.
Well it is true that some principles generally apply but the specific interpretations of this year’s challenges may be peculiar to the conditions and expectations prevailing currently.
For instance, inter currency rates now may not be the same as last year. Some adjustments must be made by importers to meet the demands of this new “day”. Even hiked prices of goods and service in the previous year due to the economic situations then, may not reduce now that the situation is manageable.
None of us has seen this year or already gone through and back, except God. He is still the only One who has the power to make things happen or turn around for our good. He says to us concerning the year, “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go.”
He says “do not be like the horse or the mule, which have no understanding but must be controlled by bit and bridle or they will not come to you” (Psalm 32: 9). In other words, it is better to go through this year with the understanding/ instruction He gives than to be controlled and tossed about by circumstances prevailing.
Dear beloved, God is willing to instruct you about your business, career, finances, marriage, relationship and ministry. Do not lean on your own understanding. Do not trust your own abilities based on last year’s achievements.
Let God lead the way and you shall neither in the desert stray nor miss your providential way. Begin to pray with the hymn: Captain of Isreal’s host and guide; Of all who seek the land above! Watch and be blessed: https://youtu.be/qYPfPDYRxb0
