Topic: Jesus, The Complete Package
Text: Colossians 1:19 (AMP)
For it has pleased [the Father] that all the divine fullness (the sum total of the divine perfection, powers, and attributes) should dwell in Him permanently. Amen
Imagine God in all His fullness, power and splendour. Our human mind cannot fathom this greatness. John the revelator wrote this about his encounter. He said “when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as if I were dead.” (Revelation 1:17a).
However, it has always pleased the Lord that His divine fullness dwell in Christ Jesus permanently.
Just as God in all His fullness was pleased to live in Christ, so is Christ Jesus in the full nature of God pleased to live in us. What a privilege.
Dearly Beloved, here are two basic yet powerful truths about today’s scripture reference:
i. The sum total of all divine perfection, power and attributes are in Christ Jesus. Hence, no other power or authority can be compared to/with Him. At the mention of His name, every knee bows, demons flee, storms and turbulence in our lives are calmed. Such is the greatness of the One who lives in us.
ii. When we have Christ, we have all of God in human form. On the cross, Jesus won victory for us. His sacrifice made us whole and complete, lacking nothing. The fullness of Christ is without defects, blemish or any form of want and need. Rather, every good and perfect gift is from God and He gladly invites us to share in all His goodness.
Rejoice therefore beloved, because Christ lives in you. His divine power is in us, working all things for our good. He is all powerful, all knowing, all sufficient and always providing.
Today His mighty and powerful arm is still stretched and open, inviting us to enter into His rest and lay all our burdens on Him.
Jesus is the complete package, the best heavenly gift to all mankind. In Him the sons of Adam are blessed beyond every curse. Will you not receive this special gift today? Your life will never be the same again.
