Today’s Devotion
Topic: It’s Time To Pray!
Text: Habakkuk 3: 2
2 Lord, I have heard of your fame; I stand in awe of your deeds, Lord. Repeat them in our day, in our time make them known; in wrath remember mercy. Amen
Wake everyone in the family up, it is time to pray. Call the priest, student, banker, politician, nurse, trader, lawyer, teacher and engineer tell them its time to pray.
Can’t we see that all are at their wits end concerning what to do? The world is in chaos, fightings and conflicts everywhere. Bombardments everywhere including airspaces for civilian aircraft.
Individual Nations are dwindling fast into serious economic hardships. If there was ever a time the just really lived by faith- this is it! Salaries sound huge till you go to the market and realise its value has no purchasing power. Even if it did, it will never last an entire month.
Utilities have now become luxurious commodities- too expensive to enjoy to the fullest. Hospitals are under-staffed and the wards over crowded. Workers are not happy and so are their employers. Truth is, there is confusion everywhere.
We have complained, argued, blamed each other, brought in the experts who have also tried their best and now we all agree the solution is – JESUS! (He is only a prayer away).
You can argue that scripture predicted that in the end, perilous times will come so nothing can be done about these events. Honestly quote one scripture or another to confirm your claim until these events hit you or someone close to you. There you would agree that God is still working miracles for those who trust in His salvation.
If your salary left you in the middle of no where and your rent was due or school re-opened for your wards, you would agree that prayer is the key.
If you had to embark on a necessary trip that require usage of the airspace over the Gaza Strip or Syria, then you wouldn’t bother so much about ancient prophecies, except for God’s intervention to keep you and bring you back to your family safely.
So yes! call everybody- let us pray. For very visible in the mist of all these fulfilling prophecy is our God who neither slumbers nor sleeps. He works miracles for His own day and night. Just to keep us safe, delivered, restored, and provided for.
Remember at Elijah’s word (prophecy), there was no rain for years, yet he had ravens and a widow feeding him. What is even more intriguing is that, in the midst of the famine, their bag of flour and pot of oil didn’t ever run dry.
Let the urgency of our time induce prayer within us all, regardless of class or status. Call the thief, prostitute, liar, and corrupt official to abandon their way of life, seek forgiveness and join us pray. Tell the President, the UN Secretary General and anyone else who matter, to join in the prayer.
Our request is very simple, “Lord, we have heard of your fame; we stand in awe of your deeds. Repeat them in our day, in our time make them known; in wrath remember mercy. BEGIN TO PRAY NOW.
THE SOLUTION IS STILL JESUS. TRY ANY OTHER AND YOU WILL AGREE! Click: https://youtu.be/HC5707bPzw0
