Topic: If You Can Only Believe, Then It’s Not Too Late!
Text: Luke 1:37
For no word from God will ever fail. Amen.
When the angel appeared unto Mary with the good news of how the Saviour of the world would be born through her, she couldn’t help but wonder how that could be possible since she had known no man. The angel’s response to her was succinct.
He said, “The Holy Spirit will come on you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God. Even Elizabeth your relative is going to have a child in her old age, and she who was said to be unable to conceive is in her sixth month. For no word from God will ever fail.” (Luke 1: 35 -37) And true to his words, Mary conceived and gave birth to Jesus the Christ at the very time that had been set.
With a few days to end the year, some of us may be wondering if the prophecies we received for this year which are yet to come true, might actually get fulfilled. For some, it seems impossible for anything to change within four days. Many have already rolled unfulfilled prophecies, dreams and goals unto next year.
But beloved, truth be told; it’s never over until it’s actually over. You can still trust God to see His word carried out in your life. For Him, a single day could as well be used in accomplishing what could have taken a thousand years.
By the end of the year, we trust that you’ll sing as Mary did, saying; “My soul glorifies the Lord and my spirit rejoices in God my Saviour, for He has been mindful of the humble state of His servant. From now on all generations will call me blessed, for the Mighty One has done great things for me — holy is His name.” (Luke 1: 46- 49) Decide to keep trusting Him; your expectation shall never be cut off. Begin to pray now.
