Topic: If God Be For Us!
Text: Isaiah 8: 10
10 Devise your strategy, but it will be thwarted; propose your plan, but it will not stand, for God is with us. Amen
Many are they that can set themselves against us on everyside. They threaten us with disease, failure, poverty, conflict and strife only to mock us and say “there is no deliverance in God for them”.
Sometimes we know who they are, other times we really have no idea because they work in darkness. But be they winds or waves, men or demons, friends or foes, raging seas or blazing furnaces; we will always remain stronger than their schemes!
This is because it is an eternally known truth that God watches over His children with zeal and passion. Those He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son Jesus Christ, that He might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. And those He predestined, He also called; those He called, He also justified; those He justified, He also glorified. What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? (Rom 8: 29- 30)
Send this warning across the nations then; tell them that God is with us! We may not look all strong and confident, but God is with us! We may not have all the skills the world requires to compete, but God is with us! We may not have had any millitary training in combat and defence, but the Lord is definitely with us! He goes before us like a Mighty Warrior; so our persecutors stumble and fall. They fail and are thoroughly disgraced (Jer 20: 11)
Warn them to stop all these evil strategies they plot in darkness against the children of God. Working out plans to bring us down. All of them will be thwarted in Jesus’ name! All their proposed plans of accidents, failure, shame and stagnation against us always will come to nought because of Christ. He is our strength and shield” (Ps 28: 7).
Spread this assurance to all believers across the globe; God is with us! We must not stop praying and trusting His word. We must not yield to sin and temptation. We must not give up the good fight of faith until our children are secured and the youth of our generation is saved; until our ministries are vamped to the glory of God; until our nation is revived unto godliness, and until lost souls are saved and preserved for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Evil can not break us, God is with us! And if God be for us, who can be against us?
Begin to pray right now. Be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Cover your life and family with the blood of Jesus and claim victory over all the devices of evil. Remember some do trust in chariots, others in horses; but we “who trust in the Lord are like mount Zion, which cannot be shaken but endures forever (Ps 125: 1). God is with us- Immanuel!
