Today’s Devotion
Topic: He’s Worthy Of All Glory!
Text: Psalm 115: 1
1 Not to us, Lord, not to us but to your name be the glory, because of your love and faithfulness. Amen
When the Lord restored the fortunes of Zion, we were like those who dreamed. Our mouths were filled with laughter, our tongues with songs of joy. Then it was said among the nations “The Lord has done great things for them.” (Ps 126: 1- 2). We therefore ascribe to the Lord, all the GLORY, and GREAT THINGS HE HAS DONE!
You see, all we are and have, is but the provision of the grace of God; the peace of mind we have, the strength to go about our daily activities, the protection we enjoy, the favour that ushers us into greatness, the healing of our bodies and the restoration of our joy.
When the wicked advanced against us to devour us, they stumbled and fell. All that the devil meant to destroy us, has turned for our good. We are not the same as we used to be. God has turned our sorrows into joy, traded our ashes for HIS beauty and supplied our every little need according to His riches in glory.
We are therefore not ashamed to declare in the Assembly of God’s people that “Not unto us oh Lord, but to thy name be all the glory!” David affirms the solid goodness of the Lord when He said in Psalm 139: 14b “Marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well”.
Begin to worship the Lord. Give HIM all the Glory, great things He has done. See you at church!
