Topic: He Can Give More!
Text: 1 Timothy 6: 17-18
17 Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. 18 Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share. Amen
We may still have some wants and needs, but the truth remains that we are all rich in Christ. That’s why many desire your position and possesion although you are still discontent. God has graciously blessed us with somethings richer than what money can buy!
Remember, Jesus died and paid a high ransom for our sins. He paid all our debt and gave us grace to posses all things in Him. Now, He has blessed us with all spiritual blessings.
Paul Commands that we do not become arrogant nor hope in our earthly wealth but rather to put our hope in God, the one who richly provides us with everything.
You know, all we are and have is God’s gift so free. Yet all that can not compare with what the father has prepared for our future. Therefore this is not the time for arrogance nor the opportunity to trust in your wealth.
Be rich in good deeds too, be generous to those around you, be willing to share what you have with those who lack and watch God bless you even more.
Meditate on this and pray now, for what do we have that was not given us. Don’t be selfish. He who gave you what you now posess, can easily bless you with more if you will obey this command to be generous and to keep trusting Him and not your wealth. Let poor say, I am rich!
