Topic: GREAT GOD: He’s Gained The Renown That Is Still His!
Text: Jeremiah 32: 20
You performed signs and wonders in Egypt and have continued them to this day, in Israel and among all mankind, and have gained the renown that is still yours. Amen
One day, after speaking the mind of God to Zedekiah, king of Judah, regarding the capture of Jerusalem by the Babylonians and the Lord’s assurance to bring the captives back to the land of Judah; the tongue of the prophet begun to praise the Lord with such profound words that are still true today. He said:
“Ah, Sovereign Lord, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you. Great and mighty God, whose name is the Lord Almighty, great are your purposes and mighty are your deeds. Your eyes are open to the ways of all mankind; you reward each person according to their conduct and as their deeds deserve. You performed signs and wonders in Egypt and have continued them to this day, in Israel and among all mankind, and have gained the renown that is still yours.” (Jer 32: 17, 18b – 20).
These words are so true that immediately Jeremiah finished praising and petitioning God, the Lord Himself confirmed them saying, “Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh. Is anything too hard for me?” (vrs 27)
Of a fact, nothing is too hard for our God. Remind the disheartened that our God is still more than able. Is He not the sovereign God who made the heavens and the earth with His great power and outstretched arm? Great are His purposes and mighty are His deeds. He performed SIGNS and WONDERS in Egypt AND HAVE CONTINUED THEM TO THIS DAY; gaining the renown that for generations has remained His alone to claim. WHAT A GOD!
Be sure to tell this to all His children. Especially those surrounded by troubles far greater than they could ever imagine. And also to those who have lost hope and are about to give up the fight. Tell it over and over until the message sinks deep down, that NOTHING, NOTHING, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING IS TOO DIFFICULT FOR OUR GOD!
Begin to pray now. Call on the Lord with all your heart and let the heavens hear your voice. What ever the load you carry, hand them over to Jehovah and trust His Word to perform. Great are His purposes and mighty are His deeds. He has been renowned since the days of Pharaoh as the God of signs and wonders.
Today is the day for that great miracle you have been trusting for, as God gets ready to manifest His mighty power through you like never before. A wonderful change comes all over you. Your life will never be the same.
