Today’s Devotion
Topic: Great Awakening
Text: Psalm 34:15.
The eyes of the LORD are on the righteous, and his ears are attentive to their cry. Amen
Many are the afflictions of the righteous but the Lord delivers him from all. There is hope for you who have suffered a great deal this year:
i. You who struggled to get the basic necessities of life (food, clothing & shelter).
ii. You who is almost drowning in debts and hides away from creditors.
iii. You who have fallen by the way-side of life, all your dreams and visions being shattered till you now have no hope for tomorrow.
iv. You whose heart and trust have been broken by a dear one.
v. You whose situation has turned upside down, and all you have accomplished is now on the ground.
“This is what the Lord Almighty says: ‘In a little while I will once more shake the heavens and the earth, the sea and the dry land. I will shake all nations, and what is desired by all nations will come, and I will fill this house with glory,’ says the Lord Almighty. ‘The silver is mine and the gold is mine,’ declares the Lord Almighty. (Haggai 2: 6-8)
Each time you read God’s prophetic Word in the bible, claim it for yourself. For heaven and earth shall pass away but HIS WORD REMAINS THE SAME.
Begin to pray your situation back to God. Tell him: “Lord, whilst on others thou art calling, please do not pass me by. As you shake all things to establish your will, please shake away my darkness, fear, guilt and shame. Shake away my lust, pride, anger, lies and inconsistencies. Shake away this pain and sorrow. Bring me hope for tomorrow, silver and gold belong to you- Lord supply my needs according to your riches in glory.”
As you pray, for yourself and for others, may the mercies of God reach and lift you up where you really BELONG. For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and His ears are attentive to their cry. This story, is turning around for your good. You will see!
