Topic: God Of Elevation
Text: Job 22: 29 (KJV)
When men are cast down, then thou shalt say, There is lifting up; and He shall save the humble person. Amen
Higher” means advancement. Each step up the ladder of life presents new challenges with greater rewards that absolutely inspire the next onward step unto a higher realm. Then the process to the top begins all over again.
“Higher” also means some level of advantage over being “lower”; that is to say a better perspective of things, because the heights allow a clearer and farther vision than usual.
The other day, the disciples of John the Baptist run to Him and said “Rabbi, that man who was with you on the other side of the Jordan- the one you testified about- well, He is baptizing, and everyone is going to Him.” (Jh 3: 26).
To this John replied “The one who comes from above is above all; the one who is from the earth belongs to the earth, and speaks as one from the earth. The one who comes from heaven is above all” (Jh 3: 31).
Jesus also said this of Himself, “And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself” (Jh 12: 32).
Beloved begin to desire a higher plane in life, than you have EVER found. God will help you. He loves to raise people to levels they never dreamt of.
According to 1 Samuel 2: 8, “He raises the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from the ash heap; He seats them with princes and has them inherit a throne of honour. “For the foundations of the earth are the Lord’s; on them He has set the world”.
What are you waiting for then? Meditate on the hymn “I’m pressing on the upward way… lord lift me up and let me stand”. Begin to pray that this becomes your year of divine elevation. Promotion in every aspect of your life.
“Since you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God” (Col 3: 1). For the one who is from above is actually above all. Only be humble in all your ways and the Lord will keep lifting you up (James 4:10).
Also, set your mind on things above, not on earthly things” (Col 3: 2), and you would see something incredible happening to you. “When men are cast down, you shall say “there is lifting up”! God wills this for you. You shall not be mediocre forever. See you at the top.
