Topic: Go In The Name Of The Lord!
Text: Psalm 124: 8
8 Our help is in the name of the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth. Amen
It is another day with many demands staring at us already. There are appointments, meetings, targets to reach, examinations to write, lectures and interviews to attend and duties to execute at work. The mere thought of our schedule makes us quite uncomfortable.
This is not just because we are still tired from the weekend activities but also because we know that we are limited and fall short of many of the expectations required of us.
However, “praise be to the Lord, to God our Saviour, who daily bears our burdens” (Ps 68: 19). It is He who helps us through it all. Those who are sincere will testify that each day ends with that fulfilment in our hearts knowing IT WAS BY THE HELP OF THE LORD WE MADE IT THROUGH.
Why should this day be any different? Is our God not Elohim anymore? Are we not the apple of His eyes anymore? Is He too occupied to provide the strength we need to outrun chariots and horses?
You see, not only is the Lord wisdom to all who desire to execute their duties excellently, He is also the very life we seek and our exceedingly great reward at the end of each day.
Therefore cheer up and be positive about this day. Say to the righteous that “it shall be well with them, for they will enjoy the fruit of their labour”(Is 3: 10). No one whose hope is in the Lord is ever put to shame (Ps 25: 3). All the help you need is in the name of the Lord.
Call Him now and trust Him for another successful day. Always remember that the Lord goes before you like a mighty warrior; Before Him your persecutors will stumble and fall (Jer 20: 11). Enjoy the presence of the Lord throughout today and beyond.
