Topic: Favour For Work
Text: Psalm 90: 17
May the favour of the Lord our God rest on us; establish the work of our hands for us — yes, establish the work of our hands. Amen
There is good reward for working hard. But that is when our hard work yields great results and those results are the desired results with high value to attract high rewards.
You can put into work all of your strength, knowledge, principles and sweat; but that will not necessarily guarantee that your efforts are going to yield the desired results.
Sometimes, things just don’t happen the best way we want them to. Sometimes, things can delay and fustrate us; sometimes, conditions are not favourable to grant a bounty harvest; sometimes there are too many adversaries.
However, all of the “sometimes” as stated above never really affect our output when THE FAVOUR OF THE “ALWAYS-WITH-US-GOD” IS UPON US. HE SOMEHOW MAKES EVERYTHING WORK IN OUR FAVOUR. WE MAY NEVER KNOW HOW; YES, WE MAY NEVER KNOW. BUT THAT’S WHAT MAKES HIM THE EXCELLENT WAY-MAKER WE KNOW HIM TO BE.
Begin to pray, therefore. Ask the Lord to establish the work of your hands. Ask Him for inspiration, ideas, strength, ability, a dilligent spirit, and FAVOUR. Tell Him of all the challenges with your attitude, health, colleagues, superiors and even the general economic climate that make your output half-baked. Ask the Holy Spirit to take control of all things beyond you and make you able for the things you must do.
May the favour of the Lord our God rest on us then. May our great God establish the work of our hands for us. May He remain our exceeding great reward. May we decrease while He increases in all we do and say. May our harvest be plentiful and our barns full of His love and provision. May our end be to the GLORY OF OUR LORD; IN THE MIGHTY NAME OF JESUS!
