Topic: Enter Therein
Text: Acts 3: 1- 3
3 Peter and John went to the Temple one afternoon to take part in the three o’clock prayer service. 2 As they approached the Temple, a man lame from birth was being carried in. Each day he was put beside the Temple gate, the one called the Beautiful Gate, so he could beg from the people going into the Temple. 3 When he saw Peter and John about to enter, he asked them for some money. Amen
There are several reasons why we keep at the Beautiful Gate instead of entering into the Holies of Holies with all boldness to obtain mercy. Sometimes the limitation is due to sin, poverty, lack, disease or fear of public perception about us. We feel we are not good enough to enter the temple of God. So we rather sit at the “beautiful gate” (Do our own prayers “small small”, look up to other Christians to pray for us and to give some kind of temporal solution to our problems).
In some other cases, it is “the people”(society) that keeps us at the beautiful gate. They say we are not good enough to enter, not righteous enough to belong. They aid us to the gate everyday but never encourage us to enter the temple. Obviously, this gate called beautiful, could only be a shadow reflection of how magnificent the actual temple is.
The presence of the Lord is there. His glory fills the temple like smoke. At His word every demon has to flee. At the mention of His name every knee bows. He is constantly fixing all who enter His presence. He puts the broken puzzles of their lives together and heals their diseases. HE LOVES EVERYONE WHO ENTERS IN, HE NEVER DISCRIMINATES.Don’t stay at the beautiful gate hoping for empathy and support from those who have had an encounter with Jesus in His temple. YOU TOO MUST ENTER IN.
Forget about all the self-imposed limitations and get ready for church. Jesus knows about your infirmity- He wants to heal you. He knows your situation- He wants to help you. Stop looking up to men for solutions. Desire an encounter with Jesus, Enter In. Your life will never be the same again. Pray now! See you at church.
