Topic: Don’t Let Your Past Hold Your Destiny!
Text: Romans 8 :31 ( NKJV )
“What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?” Amen.
“Don’t let your past hold your destiny.” In other words, don’t let the way somebody treated you, or what they did or didn’t give you keep you from pressing forward and becoming all that God has created you to be.
The people who raised you may have had issues, but that doesn’t have to be your future. You can be the one to break that negative cycle. Your own terrible mistakes from the past may have affected you in someway but that is why we serve a God of GRACE! He can fix you and give you a second chance.
It may be true that some sort of generational curse of poverty, disease and misfortune run through the family line. But you can be the one to say, “No more. For we are now born into the family of Christ. A chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation; God’s own special people. It is the “Abrahamic” seed of blessings that runs through us not some curse imposed on us by our natural bloodline.
Remember that as many as received Jesus, to them He gave the POWER to become the children of God. We have therefore become heirs of the Father and joint heirs with the Son. We are blessed beyond every curse.
This is a new day! Say to yourself: “I may have had an unfair past, but I’m not going to have an unfair future. I know God blessed me before anybody could put a curse on me, and I’m not going to let my heredity stop my destiny.”
Seek God with all humility to obtain grace; Grace for the forgiveness of your sins, grace to strengthen your walk with Christ, grace to overcome the many obstacles you encounter due to your past, grace to open opportunities for you.
Take authority and break free from the bondages of the past in the name of Jesus. Apply both the Word of God and the Blood of Christ against all forces of darkness prevailing against you. YOU WILL NOT FAIL! Click: https://youtu.be/7eI69zDFhJ8
