Don’t Blame Anyone!

Topic: Don’t Blame Anyone!
Text: 2 Timothy 4:16-17

At my first defence, no one came to my support, but everyone deserted me. May it not be held against them. But the Lord stood at my side and gave me strength, so that through me the message might be fully proclaimed and all the Gentiles might hear it. And I was delivered from the lion’s mouth. Amen

We like to blame everyone but ourselves for the misfortunes that come our way. We carry the perception that someone else, especially a close friend or relative, didn’t help us some years back, that’s why things are the way they are today.

Sometimes we hope and pray that God will establish us in life so we can repay them for refusing to be of help to us when we needed them most. What a bad request!

Paul reminds us of such difficult times in his life when he needed help but no one came to his rescue. Like Jesus and Stephen, Paul explains he holds nothing against anyone.
Remember vengeance is the Lord’s and He alone can avenge. Don’t continue to wallow in the blame game. It will not solve the problem, rather worsen it.

Trust in the Lord therefore, take charge of your life and move on. After all, all you need to succeed in life is God. It is He who will inspire some few individuals to share in your vision and come to your aid.

Forget about the actions or inactions of Man, God will always deliver you from the lion’s mouth and give you a testimony.
Begin to pray for the grace to be responsible and to be able STAND for Christ no matter the storm!
