Topic: Do Not Be Terified!
Text: Psalm 16:8
I have set the LORD always before me: because He is at my right hand, I shall not be moved. Amen
Difficult times can be unbearable but not all negative. More often than not, adversity enables us measure our “word and faith level” in Christ. Though painful at present, it often ceases before long. And then how glorious the victor’s song.
Apostle Paul puts it best when He says, “I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.” (Romans 8: 18). Also, Hebrews 12:11 says, “No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.”
Don’t be afraid or discouraged anymore when all things seem to turn against you. Especially when you have done all you can to salvage the situation but to no avail.
David said “I have set the Lord before me always”. That means he acknowledges God always in all that he does. He sees both good and bad times from the pespective of God.
You see, God is stronger than our strongest adversary. Him before us, we are never moved! He fights our battles and give us success in our daily lives, relationships, finances and academics.
That is why even though many remain the affliction of the righteous, the LORD delivereth him out of them all. Him at our right hand, and we shall not be moved.
Dearly beloved, begin to pray for the grace and strength to stay focused and steadfast in the Lord no matter your circumstance. Fix your eyes before Him, the author and finisher of our faith and He will keep you well.
Set the Lord ALWAYS before you, and watch Him magnify Himself in all you do. Being bigger than all that rise against you, you shall never be moved in Jesus mighty name.
