His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it. Amen
A mother knows so well who her child is. She watches him or her grow from being a bundle of tissue into an adult with the ability to make decisions on their own.
But this Son is different! An angel appeared to announce His Birth, Name, Purpose and Rule even before His mother could know a man. (Luke 1: 31- 36)
He was conceived not by the activity of man, but by the Power of God. “He is the Word of God who became flesh and made His dwelling among us” (John 1: 14)The ancient prophets looked through their spiritual telescopes and could see His birth from afar. They prophesied that His birth will bring salvation to all.
At 12 years, His mother observed Him discussing the Holy Scriptures with the teachers of the Law. And even they, marvelled at Him. “But Mary kept all these things in her heart and thought about them often” (Luke 2: 19). She was fully aware THIS WAS NO ORDINARY SON.
So you may think this wedding is just a social gathering and the shortage of drinks is to be expected. But you will soon discover never to put limitations on yourself when JESUS is around.
He is about to work a miracle that will clear this “near-reproach” off your wedding and give your guests a memorable testimony to honor your life. THE ONLY EXPECTATION IS THAT YOU DO ALL HE ASKS YOU TO DO.
Yes, whatever He says to you, DO IT! Even if you don’t agree. Even if it doesn’t make sense to you. Even if it makes you cry. Even if it doesn’t work the first time you tried! Even if you don’t feel Him near! WHATSOEVER HE SAITH UNTO YOU, DO IT!
All who obeyed His Word later realised of a truth, HE IS THE WONDER WORKING GOD. His Word never returns to Him empty. It always accomplishes what He desires and achieves the purpose for which He sends it (Is. 55: 11).
So whether you need healing, deliverance, salvation, restoration or a job, a child, a contract, a spouse or a second chance, the counsel of His beloved mother, Mary, is highly recommended: WHATSOEVER HE SAITH TO YOU, DO IT!
