Topic: Considering The Poor (Self Assessment)
It is another Saturday and we are blessed to be alive. Let us spend some time pondering over the passage below. Do not hesitate to share the revelations the Holy Spirit gives you with us. We learn a great deal from you.
Text: Ps 41:1-3 (NKJV)
1 Blessed is he who considers the poor; The Lord will deliver him in time of trouble.
- The Lord will preserve him and keep him alive, And he will be blessed on the earth; You will not deliver him to the will of his enemies.
3 The Lord will strengthen him on his bed of illness; You will sustain him on his sick bed. Amen
Questions:
- In your opinion, who is a poor person?
- What does it mean to consider the poor as described in Vrs 1? Explain with practical examples.
- Mention at least 6 blessings that awaits anyone who considers the poor? (Vrs 1b – 3)
- The psalmist explains God will strengthen and sustain such people who considers the poor on their sick beds. Explain .
