Topic: Consider Your God Not Your Challenges!
Text: Romans 4: 19- 21 (NKJV)
“19 And not being weak in faith, he did not consider his own body, already dead (since he was about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah’s womb. 20 He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, 21 and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform”. Amen
Abraham, who is known as our father in the faith, had many obstacles coming against the promise of God in his life. God told him that he would be “the father of many nations.” (Genesis 12:1). He clocked over 90 years old before he ever saw that promise being fulfilled.
The text for today tells us that Abraham did not consider his body. He didn’t think and meditate on all the reasons he couldn’t be the father of many nations.
No, he considered and thought about the strength and ability of God! He thought about God’s faithfulness and gave praise and glory to Him! That faith that Abraham exercised enabled God to move on His behalf and fulfill the promise in His life.
What are you believing God for in the coming year? Does it seem impossible? Then consider your God not your abilities. Consider His Word not your ideologies. Consider His faithfulness not your inconsistencies.
Begin to pray now. Ask God to increase your faith in Him and to help you trust His word. Right after that begin to give God praise, even when faced with the greatest obstacle. Praise magnifies God over your circumstance.
Just like Abraham, you’ll grow strong in faith as you continue to glorify God in your struggles. Your faith will open the door for God to move in your life, and you will experience the victory He has in store for you in Jesus mighty name. Victory belongs to God. Click: https://youtu.be/CcwZsbcyi8s.
