Conduct

Today’s Devotion
Topic: Conduct
Text: Colossians 3:12-14

Put on then, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. Amen

Since the beginning of this year, we have talked about several important themes for meditation to guide us become all that God has said we will be in the year. Today we talk about our CONDUCT.

We live, school or work with other people who expect to see us live like Christ in our thoughts, deeds and speech. When we are insentitive, contentious, greedy, stingy, proud, etc; people begin to wonder how we can profess Christ and act contrary to Him.

People may withhold their blessings, support and assistance when they realise we are selfish, insentitive and inconsistent with the virtues of kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, forgiveness. These virtues do not only reflect the life of Jesus in us but also win us favour before God and fellow men.

Meditate on this Word and ask for the SEED of LOVE to be planted and nurtured in you; for we have not known HIM if we do not walk like He did or love our brothers as HE first loved us. Think about this!
