Christ, Our Chief Security

Topic: Christ, Our Chief Security
Text: 2 Timothy 1:12b

_ …, for I know the one in whom I trust, and I am sure that He is able to guard what I have entrusted to Him until the day of His return.Amen_

Apostle Paul had been through a lot, because of the testimony of Christ. He had endured so many hardships and persecutions, nonetheless, his confidence in Christ was unwavering. He knew Christ so well that, earthly troubles could not shatter his confidence; he had the safest security in Christ!!!

We are not different from Paul in many regards. Our walk with Christ hasn’t been a smooth journey. There have been many uncertainties, confusion, chaos and frustrations. We have had questions for God all the time and wondered how we could sail through this current storm we’re facing.

Well, inspire every Child of God battered by the storms of life to cheer up, for our God is a powerful One. “His wisdom is profound, His power is vast. Who had resisted Him and come out unscathed? 5 He moves mountains without their knowing it and overturns them in His anger’ (Job 9: 4-5). IF IT IS A MATTER OF STRENGTH, HE IS MIGHTY! (Job 9: 19a)

Remember the many times when new challenges arose and we had no where to go to? Remember when things turned so sour that, the only prayer we could offer was tears? Those sad days when we asked each other “whence shall help come from?”. God came through for us. He gave joy and happiness for our sorrow and pain because He cares for us. He rejoices in our wellbeing.

So do not fret, for our God is greater. He is so powerful that sometimes, even a little bit of faith is enough to activate His Word in our lives for victory. Jesus says “Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” (Matthew 17: 20- 21).

Ask all who have been trusting Him over the years and they will tell you ‘Jesus never disappoints’. Guess what? He’s not going to start now. Our past testimonies and breakthroughs testify that God can be trusted.

Begin to pray and commit every situation to God. Knowing what He’s done in times past should even inspire us to trust in Him the more. At the end, after He has come through for us, all eyes shall see and testify that, “This is the Lord’s doing. It is marvelous in our eyes” (Psalm 118: 23). Click: https://youtu.be/KPO7vQ2Yq70
