Topic: Cast Your Burden
Text: Psalm 55: 22
Cast your cares on the Lord and He will sustain you; He will never let the righteous FALL.
The dictionary defines burden as a load, typically a heavy one. If it is, then most of us can easily identify one thing or the other in our lives that keeps weighing heavily on us like a burden.
Many issues arise every now and then. They are often too heavy than we think we can bear, threatening to steal our joy, hope and praise.
Some are troubles we contributed to by the erroneous decisions we made in the past or may even still be making. Others are snares and attacks the enemy brings our way. There are yet some others that are allowed by God, just to test our faith.
But see, whatever nature our burdens assume; Jesus remains its greatest solution. He said “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest” (Mat 11: 28).
What is keeping us then? Bring all the load, the anger, the disappointments and needs. Lay them all on the altar of Christ and begin to pray. Commit all your troubles to the Lord and HE WILL SUSTAIN YOU. Pray with the hymn “What a friend we have in Jesus”.
Remember to tell the righteous that God WILL NEVER LET THEM FALL. He is just faithful; so faithful to the end!
