Topic: Bring The Abnormal Too!
Text: Luke 14: 5- 6
5 Then Jesus asked them, “If one of you has a child or an ox that falls into a well on the Sabbath day, will you not immediately pull it out?” 6 And they had nothing to say. Amen
One Sabbath, as Jesus went to eat in the house of a prominent Pharisee, He was being carefully watched. There, in front of Him, was a man suffering from ABNORMAL SWELLING of his body.
Jesus asked the Pharisees and experts in the law, “Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath or not?” But they remained silent. So taking hold of the man, He healed him and sent him on his way.
Then Jesus asked them, “If one of you has a child or an ox that falls into a well on the Sabbath day, will you not immediately pull it out?” And they had nothing to say.
The Master ‘Fixer’ is able to fix every situation, condition and problem; leaving opposing onlookers dumbfounded. He loves all who come to Him equally, whether great or small, and has compassion for their every condition.
He specialises in those things considered abnormal; talking about conditions that are deemed unusual and maybe weird. Those that are contrary to or inconsistent with what we know as normal; the irregular and the distorted; those things that Science cannot fully explain or solve; those things that are new to sound logic — YES; HE IS ABLE TO FIX THEM ALL!
How was He able to heal a man with abnormal swelling in front of these prominent Pharisees and experts of the law on a Sabbath, and leave them dumbfounded? How did the swelling on the man’s body vanish, and where did it run to so that none could challenge the healing?
If you can’t seem to find answers to the two questions above, then KNOW THAT YOUR JESUS IS MORE THAT ABLE TO DO EXCEEDINGLY, ABUNDANT, BEYOND ALL YOU CAN IMAGINE OR THINK OF. ACCORDING TO THE POWER THAT WORKS IN US.
Come running, therefore! Bring your peculiarly abnormal condition. Yes; the very weird things happening to your body, family, career and finances. Lay them bare before our Lord in prayer and trust Him to be faithful! He will heal, fix and aid you on your way with the same urgency that any of us would have in rescuing a child who falls into a well. Even the most acclaimed doubters will have nothing to say!
Come running, won’t you? Jesus is waiting. Unless you’re perfect in your own eyes. Then you can join the doubters and still find nothing to say about those HE MAKES WHOLE. BECAUSE IN HIM, THEY ARE MADE COMPLETE. That is the kind of perfection that is unto eternity.
