Topic: Blessed Is He Who Fears The Lord!
Text: Psalm 111: 10
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; all who follow His precepts have good undestanding. To Him belongs eternal praise. Amen
“Praise the LORD! Blessed is the man who fears the LORD; who finds great delight in His commands.
“His children will be mighty in the land; the generation of the upright will be blessed. Wealth and riches are in His house, and His righteousness endures forever.
Even in darkness light dawns for the upright; for the gracious and compassionate and righteous man.Good will come to him who is generous and lends freely; who conducts his affairs with justice.
“Surely he will never be shaken; a righteous man will be remembered forever. He will have no fear of bad news; his heart is steadfast, trusting in the LORD.
“His heart is secure, he will have no fear; in the end he will look in triumph on his foes. He has scattered abroad his gifts to the poor, his righteousness endures forever; his horn will be lifted high in honour.
“The wicked man will see and be vexed, he will gnash his teeth and waste away; the longings of the wicked will come to nothing.” (Ps 112: 1-10)
What a blessing and reward for loving the Lord God with all your heart, and serving only Him with utmost reverence and obedience!
What a blessing it will be for one’s children and generation when, by fearing the Lord, they attain divine wisdom to appropriate their lives in such a way that establishes blessings that trickle down to everyone connected to them!
Child of God, meditate on this and begin to pray. Ask the Holy Spirit to touch you so that you can see God as He is and revere Him as you ought. For to fear God is the whole duty of man.
Remember; the longings of the wicked will come to nothing, but blessed is the man who fears the Lord and finds delight in His commands. Oh how abundant are the good things He has stored up for those who fear Him! (Ps 31:19a). For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is His love for those who fear Him (Ps 103:11).
Do your best to make the list — see you in church.
