Topic: Blessed Beyond Every Curse (Part 1)
Text: Numbers 22: 5b- 6

“A people has come out of Egypt; they cover the face of the land and have settled next to me. 6 Now come and put a curse on these people, because they are too powerful for me. Perhaps then I will be able to defeat them and drive them out of the land. For I know that whoever you bless is blessed, and whoever you curse is cursed.” Amen

We begin our 14 days fast today with the series on “BLESSED BEYOND A CURSE”.

A curse is a solemn utterance intended to invoke a supernatural power to inflict harm or punishment on someone or something. More often than not, these supernatural powers watch over the utterances invoked to strike whenever the conditions of the curse are met. This may even go on for generations.

Israel had just defeated the Amorites and Og (king of Bashan). As they travelled through the plains of Moab, they camped around the Jordan across Jericho.

Now Balak, king of Moab, saw all that Israel had done to the amorites and was terrified. He therefore sent messengers with a divination fee to fetch him Balaam son of Beor, requesting that he comes and places a curse on Israel so that he may defeat them.

Beloved, the reasons why curses are invoked are not necessarily because you did anything wrong per say. Sometimes, someone observes your life from afar and feels threatened. The blessing on your life irritates them.

They may or may not invoke a supernatural being against you yet, but the mere fact that they so wish your downfall and will do anything to see that happening is enough to make every believer uncomfortable.

Rise up and begin to pray. Thank God for your life and that of your loved ones. Thank Him you are still alive and enjoy mercy.

Ask Him to forgive you and the sins of the generations before you. Especially, those who either invoked or attracted a curse that might be affecting you today.

Ask the Holy Spirit to take over your life and inhabit you. This life you live should not be you anymore but the Jesus who lives in you. HE IS ABOVE EVERY CURSE, SO ARE YOU!

Begin to pray now! Renounce any possible curse hovering around you in the name of Jesus. You are an heir of salvation, purchased of God, born of His Spirit and washed in His blood. YOU ARE BEYOND A CURSE!

Every “Balak” seeking the assistance of a “Balaam” to destroy you is in for trouble. The Lord has blessed, who is he that will curse and not incur His wrath? In Him, our tomorrow is forever secured, for He’s more than able to keep and shield us on every side. Click: https://youtu.be/OhHsgZznJxA
