Topic : Blessed Assurance
Text : Matthew 28:20b
..And be sure of this:I am with you always, even to the end of the age. Amen
It’s always encouraging to know that someone has “got your back” even as we journey through life. This serves as a form of motivation and support in helping achieve one’s ambitions.
The task of proclaiming the good news to all nations was not going to be a smooth one. Jesus had foretold His disciples of all the oppression and persecutions they were about to face. But in spite of all these, He assured them saying, “But take heart, because I have overcome the world.”(John 16:33b) And the best part? “I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” ( Matthew 28 : 20b)
Beloved, God’s call to every task certainly includes all the provision we need to finish. Once He calls, He equips (Hebrews 13:21). Once He started, He will definitely bring it to fruition (Philippians 1:6).
So, continue in the good works Christ has called you to do. Pursue the plan of God for your life; your own personal goals will be achieved because you have Jesus in your vessel.
Even when things appear to take a downward turn, remember that Christ is and will always be with you. This blessed and divine assurance is yours today and forever.
Begin to pray now. Ask the Holy Spirit to remind you of His presence, especially in the face of adversity, and also in times when you don’t “feel” Him near. So that you are encouraged through the changing scenes of life. Always know that He is the friend who sticks closer than a brother. He is and will always be with you, even to the end of time.
