Today’s Devotion
Topic: As In The Days Of Noah
Text: Luke 17:26 -27
“Just as it was in the days of Noah, so also will it be in the days of the Son of Man. People were eating, drinking, marrying and being given in marriage up to the day Noah entered the ark. Then the flood came and destroyed them all. Amen
In the days of Noah… the LORD saw how great man’s wickedness on the earth had become. He grieved that he had made man. Contemplating within Himself one day, the LORD said, “I will wipe mankind, whom I have created, from the face of the earth–men and animals, and creatures that move along the ground, and birds of the air–for I am grieved that I have made them.” (Gen 6: 5)
God however found Noah, a righteous man, and so decided to save the world through his (Noah’s) obedience and preaching.
To do that, God asked Noah to build an ark. This ark, constructed over a period of more than 50 years was to serve as the refuge of salvation for anybody who obeyed the word of the Lord and entered it. But Noah’s contemporaries made fun of him until God shut the door of the ark and the rains came. Every living thing that was not found in the ark perished!
Today, the call is still on for you to believe and accept Jesus as your Lord and Saviour. This message serves as the voice of Noah calling out to you unto repentance. You may have heard this call over and over. Yes, the people of old heard the message of salvation for more than 50 years but in the end more animals were saved than humans. Leave nothing to chance. No one knows the hour or day the Master comes. Choose Jesus today and live!
Begin to pray therefore and ask the Lord Jesus into your life. “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.” (Acts 4: 12). It is with our hearts that we believe and are justified, and with our mouths we profess faith and are saved. (Rom 10:10). Believe now in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved- you and your household. (Acts 16:31).
