Topic: Are You Worthy Of Eternal Life?
Text: Acts 13: 45 (NIV)
46 Then Paul and Barnabas answered them boldly: “We had to speak the word of God to you first. Since you reject it and do not consider yourselves worthy of eternal life, we now turn to the Gentiles. Amen
It was Sabbath so Paul and Barnabas entered a synagogue at Pisidian Antioch to preach. Paul’s sermon impacted the Jews so much that they were invited to speak again at the next Sabbath. On that faithful day, a huge crowd gathered to hear Paul and Bananas but the Jews chose to contradict Paul because they were jealous.
It was there that Paul boldly emphasized that since they reject the Word of God and do not consider themselves “WORTHY OF ETERNAL LIFE”, he would rather preach to the gentiles.
Beloved, salvation comes to you everyday through the devotions we send and the many sermons you hear across the nation. Yet you are indifferent.
Some genuine Men and women of faith tarry on the Lord so they can reach you with the goodnews of our Lord Jesus Christ. Yet you mock them.
Your dear family prays day and night that you realise how far you have gone from the Lord and come back home. But you feel you will be doing them a favour should you give your life to Christ.
Your own conscience used to prick you daily that you may miss eternal life if you don’t repent and accept the Lord Jesus into your heart. But now, you found a way to suppressed your conscience such that you feel no guilt anymore.
You know, at each second of the clock, the coming of our Lord gets closer than before. Do not waste your time arguing whether heaven and hell exist at all. As you waste precious time contradicting pastors and evangelists, others are being saved, LIVES are being changed and restored.
So now that grace is knocking your door, do not reject the Lord and declare yourself unworthy of eternal life. The time to give your life to the Lord is NOW. Begin to pray. Allow God to take absolutely control of your heart. Why lose out on eternal life when it is God, offering it as a FREE GIFT to all who believe in His son?Listen to this great song about salvation.
