Topic: And It Always Comes To Pass! [Part 2]
Text: 1 Corinthians 1:9

God is faithful, who has called you into fellowship with His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

We thank God for yet another blessed day. Yesterday, we were looking into the faithfulness of God and the prophecy that came to Abram saying;

“Know for certain that for four hundred years your descendants will be strangers in a country not their own and that they will be enslaved and mistreated there. But I will punish the nation they serve as slaves, and afterward they will come out with great possessions” (Gen 15: 7- 14).

Now this is how the prophecy got fulfilled some 400 years after God made it known to Abram: After the ten deadly plaques unleashed on Egypt by God because Pharaoh refused to let Israel go, the Egyptian king finally gives up the resistance. He had had enough of the mess his own stubbornness had caused.

During the night he summoned Moses and Aaron and said, “Up! Leave my people, you and the Israelites! Go, worship the Lord as you have requested. Take your flocks and herds, as you have said, and go. And also bless me.”

The Egyptians urged the people to hurry and leave the country. “For otherwise,” they said, “we will all die!” The Israelites did as Moses instructed and asked the Egyptians for articles of silver and gold and for clothing. The Lord had made the Egyptians favourably disposed toward the people, and they gave them what they asked for; so they plundered the Egyptians. (Exo 12: 31-33, 35-36).

Beloved in Christ, can you see for yourself how God brought to pass every word spoken to His servant Abram even after four centuries? Can you also imagine what miracle it was for Moses to hear stubborn Pharaoh asking for blessings from the very same God He had earlier defiled?

God is just so faithful, Precious One. He “is not slow in keeping His promise, as some understand slowness” (2 Pet 3: 9a). He arranges all things perfectly in His time.

Meditate on this word and begin to pray. Every prophecy concerning your life will definitely come to pass, if only you will continuously believe God. Faith happens to be the substance of things hoped for; the evidence of things not seen” (Heb 11: 1). You do not need to see any signs therefore before you exercise faith.

Encourage one another not to despair like all hope is lost, even if you’re going through what appears to be 400 years of slavery. God has had your rescue plan laid out even before your trials begun.

So that “after you suffer for a short time, God, who gives all grace, will make everything right. He will make you strong and support you and keep you from falling. He called you to share in His glory in Christ, a glory that will continue forever” (1 Pet 5: 10 NCV).

Therefore don’t give up on God. Wait for Him; His Word is “yea” and “amen”. IT WILL ALWAYS COME TO PASS!

NB: SELF ASSESSMENT FOR THE DAY COMING UP SHORTLY.
