Topic: A Call To Worship!
Text: Psalm 95: 7c- 8a
Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts as you did at Meribah. Amen
This morning, a great invitation is being extended to you. It is a call to worship He who sits high on the throne with an emerald encircling Him. Jehovah is His name.
The invitation is not come because we are so special beyond measure; but it’s come from His love as a privilege to us so that we can partake of His divine nature.
He is so high and exalted. So self sufficient and self sustaining that He does not require our worship to be God. The call to worship Him is rather a undeserved privilege to the many who understand this truth. They fall immediately on their knees in utmost adoration.
What about you, Beloved? What are you waiting for? “Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before Him with thanksgiving and extol Him with music and song.
“For the Lord is the great God, the great King above all gods. In His hand are the depths of the earth, and the mountain peaks belong to Him. The sea is His, for He made it, and His hands formed the dry land.
“Therefore Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the Lord our Maker; for He is our God and we are the people of His pasture, the flock under His care. Today, if you hear His voice, Do not harden your heart.” (Psalm 95: 1- 8a)
The church bells are ringing, the choir is getting ready, the minister is praying ahead of the service, the ushers are getting the temple ready, angels are at post, and the hosts of heaven are in procession headed for your local church. The Lord promises to be in His Holy temple. He is coming anywhere two or more shall gather in His name.
The opportunity to encounter God in His service once again is now. Don’t be left out as has sometimes been the case. If you hear this call to worship, do not harden your heart. It is a privilege that will change your life forever. See you at church!
