2 There is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, or hidden that will not be made known. 3 What you have said in the dark will be heard in the daylight, and what you have whispered in the ear in the inner rooms will be proclaimed from the roofs. Amen. Our God is omnipresent and omniscient. It means He is everywhere and knows everything. Can you imagine that? He knows what we did, what we are doing and what we will do. He also knows the corresponding times we did or will be doing those things. Sometimes, like Simon Peter did in Mat 26:33, we challenge the possibility of we doing what God reveals we will do. In the end, when it comes to pass… we are humbled. God knows your name, thoughts and intentions. He knows your struggle with lust, He is aware you steal, drink alcohol and smoke cigarettes when no one is watching. He sees all the anxiety panics you get at night and the depression that kills your confidence. He knows you have good intentions for your mind, He knows that your heart yearns for souls that are lost. There is nothing concealed before Him. If we lived conscious of the above fact we would at least do our best to please God with our actions. We would not have been busy devising and covering evil. A married men kept his infidelity from their wife until one STD gave him away. A so-called virgin was found wanting after marriage with a lot of explanations to do. A dishonest salesman who “out smarts” all his customers is himself duped by his susu collector and he can’t tell anyone about this because the source of that savings will be questioned. Actually there has never been ONE secret in this whole world. We will all agree that the secrets of our past are always revived and made fresh in our memory each time we encounter similar situations. You see now that there is no use pretending. God sees right through us. Beloved, this devotion is not implying that we go about telling the whole world what we have done or intend to do. Rather, that we live our lives us people who are conscious of the fact that our actions are all laid bare before God and He will bring them to judgement. Come therefore, and let us go before the throne of grace to obtain mercy. When we are weak, He makes us strong. Begin to pray now that the sovereign Lord will help us live for Him whether in secret or in public.
