Topic: Dwelling In The Secret Place Of God
Text: Psalm 91:1-3
1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. 2 I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. 3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. AMEN
Many people have secret places where they do things that require privacy. In your secret place, your acts are hidden and access to the place is restricted.
God also has a secret place and that place is the “Presence of the Holy Spirit”. In the secret place of the Most High, two things come to play; 1)easy access to God and 2) protection from the enemy.
1.EASY ACCESS TO GOD: In order to reach God easily through worship or prayer, it has to be done in His secret place, where His presence abounds. His secret place is not a specific location, but an atmosphere carrying His presence. The Father seeks true worshipers who will worship Him in Spirit and in Truth and this cannot be done outside His secret place.
2. PROTECTION FROM THE ENEMY: Dwelling in God’s secret place also means being safe from the schemes and attacks of the evil one. The enemy can only set a trap outside God’s secret place, just as how the hawk targets and catches the chick when it is not under the protective wings of the hen.
However the power of God’s presence protects all who choose to dwell under the shadows of His wings. In challenging times, His presence provides strength for our weakness, beauty for our ashes, victory for our defeat, peace for our despair and joy for our sorrow.
For surely He shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. No wonder Moses would not go until he had the assurance that God’s presence was with him (Exodus 33: 15).
Beloved, why won’t you run into the secret place of the Most High? To have full access to the Father and to be delivered from your vulnerability to the devices of the evil one.
Decide today to stay secured under the shadow of the Almighty. Activities that command His presence should be key to you. Spend time to worship more. Spend time to read and meditate on His word. Offer your life as a living sacrifice and spend time to pray. Kindly click, watch and be blessed: https://youtu.be/RcORffWmuhM
