Topic: Wait For The Perfect Gift!
Text: James 1: 16-17
16 Do not be deceived, my brothers. 17 Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. Amen
Many of us in this generation lack the patience to wait upon the Lord. All we seek is the fastest solution to our worries. We do this without even considering the consequences associated.
Roaming from friend to friend and discussing our problems with all and sundry never guarantees the surest solution. On the contrary, that kind of response to adversity only indicates how faithless and shallow we are in Christ.
It is never God’s plan that we be in lack or suffer more than we can bear. He allows lack and trials to come our way just to test our faith and make us strong in Him.
Today’s Scripture reminds us that every perfect gift comes from God. Sometimes we pray for things that seem good in our own eyes but may not be best or necessary for us. We become impatient and wonder if God really exists. The truth however is, God can not give anything that is less than perfect. He is an EXCELLENT GOD. He alone knows what perfect gift you need and He gives it at the perfect time, so we can have a perfect testimony.
Numbers 23:19 says God is not man; He will not deceive us, lie to us or fail us in His promise. You see, as much as things may seem to get worse, we should always encourage ourselves and be strong in faith that no matter how long it takes, God always fulfills His promises.
Unemployment, disappointments, hurts, barrenness, poverty or sickness should not be a reason to miss heaven. “The LORD directs our steps, so why try to understand everything along the way?” (Proverbs 20:24). He works in ways we cannot see to bring us one perfect gift that silences all our accusers.
So totally wait on Him and quit the idea of sleeping with an employer for a job or paying an amount to get employed. You don’t need to lie your way to prosperity, nor consult negative forces for solutions that will only come back to haunt you one day soon.
“Anyone who comes to God must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him” (Hebrews 11: 6b). He already knows what you need and is working all things together for your good. Remember, He can only give that which is good and perfect so wait on Him – He will surprise you very soon.
They that wait on Him always renew their strength. They mount up with wings like eagles and fly great altitudes where the falcon will not dare. Begin to pray now – wait for your perfect gift! Kindly click, watch and be blessed: https://youtu.be/BMqUg26JzXE
