Topic: The Mandate
Text: John 6: 37, 39
37 All those the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never drive away. 39 And this is the will of Him who sent me, that I shall lose none of all those He has given me, but raise them up at the last day. Amen
When He said “come as you are”, it sounded like a politician who just needed a large following because normally, there is criteria for every invitation except where we need the numbers just for their votes.
But it was not! He actually means it! He never drives away anyone who seeks His face. Wretched, wounded, battered, worn, scared, abused and scared, Jesus receives us all. Even those who we consider “unworthy” are dearly loved by Him.
In fact, Apostle Paul explains it better when he says: “brothers and sisters, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise (1 Corinthians 1: 26- 27a). JESUS RECEIVES ALL.
What’s more? He has a divine mandate not to lose us, but to raise us up at the last day. Do you now see why His heart bleeds when, by stubborn will, we decide to let go of His grip. It is His job to keep you and ensure your safety.
This is why He fights battles you can not see on your behalf and is attentive to your prayers. He grants your requests and opens doors for you so that your joy will be complete and your faith strong in Him. He has a mandate to keep you till the last day. HE WILL NEVER LET YOU GO WITHOUT A FIGHT.
So do not make the fears and failures of this year the standard for the coming year. The hand that keeps you is strong. The power that protects you surpasses all that the devil can do.
Be assured therefore, that you shall not die but live to declare the goodness of the Lord. Also, be confident that whatever your hands have begun shall be completed. He has a mandate not to lose us! In Him, even the lost is found!
Begin to pray now. Commit the coming year into His hands. Ask Him to make His word the lamp to your feet so that you may abide in Him forever. Watch and be blessed: https://youtu.be/KPO7vQ2Yq70
