He fights, We win!

Topic: He fights, We win!
Text: Psalm 78: 9- 11

9 The men of Ephraim, though armed with bows, turned back on the day of battle; 10 they did not keep God’s covenant and refused to live by His law. 11 They forgot what He had done, the wonders He had shown them. Amen

Life, they say, is a battle. Each day, we are presented with many conflicting situations we must overcome. Sometimes we fail, at other times we succeed. However, those who learn to make the Lord their Captain and Banner, though battered heavier than all, always overcome.

The commanders who trained the men of Ephraim for war, should have known this. They should have taught the younger generation not to trust in their own strength, but they didn’t.

THEY TRUSTED THEIR WEAPONS AND SKILLS INSTEAD OF THE ALMIGHTY GOD. THEY DID NOT KEEP GOD’S COVENANT AND ALSO REFUSED TO LIVE BY HIS LAW. THEY FORGOT WHAT HE HAD DONE IN THE PAST AND RELIED ON THEIR OWN STRENGTH. IN THE END, THEY TURNED BACK ON THE DAY OF BATTLE; THEY FLED FOR “DEAR LIFE”.

However, armies in the Bible who regarded the Almighty as both Defender and Shield, and walked in His ways, did not have to even fight for themselves (2 Kings 19: 35). As they obeyed the commands of the Lord, He turned all their struggles into undisputed victories.

For this reason, tell all believers whose faith is being tested with various trials and tribulations; referring to those who love the Lord and walk in His word, but are battered on every side. Yes please tell them to continue to fight the good fight with all their might. Christ is their strength and right. He makes us more than conquerors. That’s how we know they will never be defeated.

Also, kindly run across every street and inform believers who seem to be fighting to make ends meet, to keep working hard and in honesty. God is not unjust to forget their labour of Love.

Those battling to overcome cancer, diabetes, hypertension, leukemia and other diseases, should be encouraged to know that Jesus bore stripes so we can be healed. And that there is power in His name heal and deliver us from all ills. He is touching them now by the Power of the Holy Ghost.

As a matter of fact, everyone struggling to keep their marriages/ relationships from falling apart must also be encouraged to keep Jesus at the center of it all. Knowing that, if it’s He putting them together, then none can put them asunder.

As for us (those born anew in Christ Jesus), we know no retreat on any battle field, neither do we surrender. No! Not when Jesus is still at work within us. Even though we are equally pressed on every side with many conflicts and sighs, we must not be like the men of Ephraim. We must submit to the Lord of hosts; acknowledge Him as Captain of Isreal’s host and plead that He fights all these battles for us.

He will break the neck of the enemy and give us victory in the midst of the storm. Meditate on this word and begin to pray. “Some have trusted in chariots, and others in horses, but we trust in the Name of the LORD our God” (Psalm 20: 7). He Fights, We Win! Click: https://youtu.be/CcwZsbcyi8s
