Topic: Encounter JESUS For Good!
Text: John 4:28-29, Matthew 19:22
28 Then, leaving her water jar, the woman went back to the town and said to the people, 29 “Come, see a man who told me everything I ever did. Could this be the Christ?”
22 When the young man heard this, he went away sad, because he had great wealth. Amen
“I rejoiced with those who said to me, let us go to the house of the Lord. The Psalmist expresses his continual joy and desire to be in the presence of God especially with fellow believers.
The fact is, in the presence of God there is fullness of joy. It is an encounter worth experiencing.
We must however be mindful of our attitude and mind set in approaching God as our encounter can be a bad one.
The Samaritan woman had an encounter with Jesus and that moment was a turning point of her life. Indeed, she couldn’t really contain the joy alone than to share with others.
The rich young man also had a similar encounter with this same Jesus and left sad. An encounter of humanity with divinity must yield blessings in abundance and not otherwise.
Let us therefore approach His throne of grace with confidence, good intentions, a grateful, worshipful, broken and contrite heart to obtain Mercy. The presence of God will flood our hearts with peace that surpasses all understanding and joy unspeakable.
We Must also approach His throne in faith, for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.
