Topic: Blessed Beyond A Curse (Fasting Day 6)
Text: Numbers 23:11
11 Balak said to Balaam, “What have you done to me? I brought you to curse my enemies, but you have done nothing but bless them!” Amen.
The angel of the Lord spared Balaam’s life and cautioned him to speak only that which the Lord instructs when he stands before Balak. Although unhappy about Balaam’s reluctance to come, Balak is at least relieved that Israel is finally going to be cursed spiritually so that he (Balak) can defeat them physically.
Beloved, some of the physical battles you fight are the mere manifestations of some spiritual activities that took place while you were asleep. Don’t just apply physical principles and strategies to win such battles, you will fail. Apply the word of God in prayer; wait till the Lord instructs you what to do. He will lead you to eternal victory.
Anyway, now that Balaam had arrived, they had to get straight to business as soon as possible. The diviner requested for 7 altars with 7 bulls and rams each. He then asked Balak to wait by the sacrifice while He went further away to hear the words of the Lord. BALAAM returns with this “CURSE”:
“ 7. Balak brought me from Aram, the king of Moab from the eastern mountains. ‘Come,’ he said, ‘curse Jacob for me; come, denounce Israel.’ 8 How can I curse those whom God has not cursed? How can I denounce those whom theLord has not denounced? 9 From the rocky peaks I see them, from the heights I view them. I see a people who live apart and do not consider themselves one of the nations. 10 Who can count the dust of Jacob or number even a fourth of Israel? Let me die the death of the righteous, and may my final end be like theirs!” (Numbers 23: 7- 10)
Wow! Balak is furious at this point and says to Balaam, “What have you done to me? I brought you to curse my enemies, but you have done nothing but bless them!”12 He answered, “Must I not speak what the Lord puts in my mouth?” (Numbers 23: 11-22)
People of God, as you and your family join hands in prayer today, God will turn the curses of the enemy into blessings for you. BEGIN TO PRAY IN FAITH. Reverse all negative declarations for your good. Where there’s a tail – you will be the head. Where there’s failure – you will succeed. Where there’s sickness – you will be in perfect health. Where there’s bondage, you are delivered.
