Blessed Beyond A Curse

Topic: Blessed Beyond A Curse (Fasting Day 4)
Text: Numbers 22: 20- 23

20 That night God came to Balaam and said, “Since these men have come to summon you, go with them, but do only what I tell you.” 21 Balaam got up in the morning, saddled his donkey and went with the princes of Moab.

22 But God was very angry when he went, and the angel of the LORD stood in the road to oppose him. Balaam was riding on his donkey, and his two servants were with him. 23 When the donkey saw the angel of the LORD standing in the road with a drawn sword in his hand, she turned off the road into a field. Balaam beat her to get her back on the road.” Amen

Beloved, today is day 4 of our 14-day prayer and fasting fiesta, and testimonies are already trooping in to the glory of our God. Please be encouraged to continue through to the end or to join in if you have not started yet.

Our God is still the Miracle Worker who commands the storms and they obey Him. Your own testimony is due too if you will not give up. Please don’t let this moment of divine visitation pass you by. Gird up your faith and push ahead in prayer. There is victory ahead. Now our discussion:

Family, we will agree that all this while, most of our concentration has been on Balak and the curse he seeks to impose on Israel. But what about the “Balaams”, those who know the oracle of God but are gradually joining the conspiracy against our lives, although in a more subtle way?

You see, Balaam bragged to Balak that he wanted nothing from the king but only sort to do the will of God. However, this was not ENTIRELY true. The word of God which came to him the first night was so definite and clear that, he should not have bothered going back to God the second time to inquire whether or not to go.

So even though God told him to respond to the king’s summon, the Lord was still not happy with him. Why must anyone be a part of a conspiracy to curse God’s people? The angel of the Lord opposed him on the way. But Balaam was so determined to go that he seemed to have lost his spiritual connectivity. HE DID NOT SEE THE ANGEL, HIS DONKEY DID.

Precious One, as you can see, the “Balaks” around you have not given up at all. As a matter of fact, he seem to have succeeded in pulling Balaam into his conspiracy somehow.

Balaam can represent all who feared God and loved you in the past but are changing towards you lately. Although they “still” try to honor the Lord, it is very clear now how they are allowing themselves to be used by the enemy to steal your joy.

Pray that their eyes be opened to see the angel of the Lord unhappy with their alliance with the man who seeks to curse the people God has blessed. We are the apple of God’s eyes. To touch us is to touch the eyes of God. Will God allow anyone to touch His eyes and affect His sight? NEVER!

He needs His sight to watch over us day and night. “Indeed He who watches over Israel, neither slumbers nor sleeps” (Psalm 121: 4). We are blessed beyond every curse. Click: https://youtu.be/uNu2bCpVAwI
