Topic: Manger Born King! (Christmas Series 4)
Text: Luke 2: 6- 7
6 While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, 7 and she gave birth to her firstborn, a Son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them. Amen
If we could determine which family, nation or destiny we wish to be born into before the Father sends us on earth, most of us would not belong to the backgrounds we find ourselves in. WE ALL WANT ROYALTY.
But you are royalty! Where you were born, how you were born and to whom you were born doesn’t change anything. Born into a manger, Jesus was King. He lived as a king (without a visible crown or throne, yet commanded a lot of authority and respect than all the leaders of His time and beyond).
He died as a King (on top of His cross they wrote, King of the Jews), resurrected as King having won victory over sin and death. Seated at the right hand of the Father, Jesus reigns forever as KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS. His kingdom, shall never end!
May this season bring a refreshing in your thinking, it doesn’t matter your past or background, you are who God says you are, what He says you are… YOU ARE ROYALTY. Your manger birth was to prove to the world that our God Faithful and Able to take the foolish things of this world to confound the wise. It was also meant to both compel and propel you to do exploits in all your aspirations. It was however never meant to make you look down on yourself.
WE ARE ROYALTY THOSE OF US IN CHRIST JESUS. WE HAVE BEEN MADE HEIRS OF THE FATHER, AND JOINT HEIRS WITH THE SON. MAY WE NEVER FORGET THIS AS WE CELEBRATE THE BIRTH OF OUR LORD TODAY, IN JESUS MIGHTY NAME! LEST WE CELEBRATE ANYHOW AND LIVE ANYHOW, LIKE A CHILD WHO DOES NOT KNOW HE IS HEIR. AS LONG HE REMAINS A CHILD HE IS NO DIFFERENT FROM A SLAVE, ALTHOUGH HE OWNS THE WHOLE ESTATE. (Galatians 4: 1).
