Midnight Hour

Today’s Devotion
Topic: Midnight Hour
Text: Acts 16: 25- 26

About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them. Suddenly there was such a violent earthquake that the foundations of the prison were shaken. At once all the prison doors flew open, and everyone’s chains came loose. Amen

Quite a spectacle to see shackles all over the place. Unlike Paul and Silas, we may not find ourselves in the physical confines of a prison. However, most of us “free” men/ women walking the streets have chains all over us. We are all entangled with complicated issues, situations and burdens at one point or another.

It’s worth noticing that some of these chains wont just come off because we have the most viable strategic plan or most practical approach to solving issues. Sometimes, we just have to sacrifise some sleep and comfort during the MIDNIGHT HOUR and PRAY THEM OFF!

Midnight is serene and condusive for absolute concentration in prayer. It’s also just about the perfect time to confront evil schemers right in the middle of their act and destroy what they deploy against you.

You see, some of these chains have prison gaurds (demons & curses) watching them so that we never break free. It’s therefore important to add PRAYER to the several strategies you have devised to set yourself free.

As was in the case of Paul and Silas, the power of prayer will not just break your chains off, but also the chains of other colleagues and relatives in the simillar situations.

Meditate on this and begin to pray your individual shackles off in Jesus name, also destroy every prison gate that encamps the whole family or generation in bondage. When Jesus sets you free, you are free indeed.

Pray until your broken pieces are put together again. The potter is more than able. https://youtu.be/d38uRw1ewdk
