Topic: Now This Assurance
Text: Matthew 28:20b
“…And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Amen
Life, it’s so unpredictable, full of ups and downs. Situations and circumstances spring up when we least expect and literally threaten to rob us of our peace, joy and well-being.
Our world is in chaos and panic, with the new COVID-19 pandemic. Everything is almost grinding to a halt in all parts of the world. There’s despair, hopeless, anxiety, confusion and undeniable fear. Health care systems are on the brink of collapse, governments are trying their best yet fear still lingers around everywhere. In all these happenings, one truth remains – GOD IS WITH US.
Beloved, difficult as it may seem to comprehend and accept, it remains the truth that our God neither sleeps nor slumbers. He’s the source of hope, peace and calm even in the midst of the chaos and confusion in world. Bible says “we are inscribed in the palms of His hands” (Isaiah 49:16) and He’s always with us, even to the end of the age (Matthew 28:20b).
So we can be rest assured that God will see us through. When the earth was without form and void, with darkness over the face of the deep, the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters (Genesis 1:2). When the storms threatened to sweep the disciples away, Jesus spoke and calmed the storms (Matthew 8:23-27).
Be encouraged this morning, Precious One. The same ancient God is with us today and He will deliver us. Remember the words of Jesus in Luke 16:33? He said “I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have tribulation. BUT TAKE HEART, I HAVE OVERCOME THE WORLD.” Halleluyah!
So take heart, Beloved, because our God has overcome this pandemic. The Great Physician now is near, the Sympathizing Jesus. He speaks the drooping heart to cheer. Oh, hear the voice of Jesus! He is with us even now till the end of the age.
Rise up with this assurance and confidence in the words of Jesus and begin to pray. At the mention of His name, every pandemic bows. He subdued every diseases under His mighty power when He won victory on the cross. Pray for all countries around the world, especially those who have been hard hit by this pandemic.
Our God is both mighty and able to deliver us from this pandemic. He has never failed, and He won’t start now. Even through this trying times, He is with and He won’t leave or forsake. Let’s hold on to this assurance in God. With God, our victory is assured.
