Blessed Beyond A Curse

Topic: Blessed Beyond A Curse (Fasting Day 10)
Text: Num 24: 1- 11

1 Now when Balaam saw that it pleased the Lord to bless Israel, he did not resort to divination as at other times, but turned his face toward the wilderness. 2 When Balaam looked out and saw Israel encamped tribe by tribe, the Spirit of God came on him,

3 and he spoke his message: “The prophecy of Balaam son of Beor,
the prophecy of one whose eye sees clearly, 4 the prophecy of one who hears the words of God, who sees a vision from the Almighty, who falls prostrate, and whose eyes are opened:

5 “How beautiful are your tents, Jacob, your dwelling places, Israel! 6 Like valleys they spread out, like gardens beside a river, like aloes planted by the Lord, like cedars beside the waters. 7 Water will flow from their buckets; their seed will have abundant water. Their king will be greater than Agag; their kingdom will be exalted.”

8 “God brought them out of Egypt; they have the strength of a wild ox. They devour hostile nations and break their bones in pieces; with their arrows they pierce them. 9 Like a lion they crouch and lie down, like a lioness — who dares to rouse them? May those who bless you be blessed and those who curse you be cursed!”

10 Then Balak’s anger burned against Balaam. He struck his hands together and said to him, “I summoned you to curse my enemies, but you have blessed them these three times. 11 Now leave at once and go home! I said I would reward you handsomely, but the Lord has kept you from being rewarded.” Amen

Precious Family, 10 solid days into our fasting and prayers fiesta and we are getting stronger and better by grace. A broken and a contrite heart, the Lord will never reject (Ps 51: 17), therefore let us keep on pushing till our blessings manifest in every aspect of our lives. And yes, “This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of Him.” (1 John 5: 14- 15). Our lives will never be the same after these 14 days in Jesus name. You would see.

Please let us continue with our discussion of today’s passage.

Beloved, it looks like finally Balak has gotten the message after all three attempts to curse Israel proved futile. He is very angry at Balaam now and even refuses to pay him the agreed wages.

You see, you are the blessing of the Lord. Like a garden beside a river, you are made to flourish all year round. Jesus purchased you with His blood and has given you strength like that of a wild ox. Strength to mount up with wings like an eagle. Strength to stand when evil abounds, strength for the challenges of today and aspirations of tomorrow.

Dont give up as easily as you are always tempted to do. Don’t even worry about the stubborn “Balaks” in your life. Whatever has a beginning, also has an end. Keep praying and fasting. Continue holding on to the Word, put them into practice as well. That time is coming soon where confusion will arise in the camp of your balak and those he employs to destroy you. They will be more and more frustrated as every curse designed for your destruction rather turns for your good.

Begin to pray now. PRAY FOR THE ABILITY TO STAND THROUGH YOUR STORM. BE CONFIDENT OF THE DELIVERANCE OF THE LORD BECAUSE YOU ARE BLESSED BEYOND EVERY CURSE.
