Topic: Word Power
Text: Hebrews 4:12
For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Amen
The word of God is alive and sharp. It has the capacity to cut and pierce objects. It permeates hearts and souls to convict of sin, to bring the hearts of men to repentance. The word of God discerns intentions and thoughts; breaking all negative strong holds and bringing all things to the obedience of God.
God has exalted His Word above His name. Bible explains it is easier – for heaven and earth to pass away while the WORD of abides forever. This WORD is SPIRIT and LIFE, it is HAMMER, and it is JESUS. Satan and his demons tremble at the Word of God. They run away from the believer who knows and applies the Word each time they try to tempt or attack.
SHARPER THAN A TWO- EDGED SWORD, this Word can go where the feet cannot go, it can do what human effort cannot do, it fixes all things and restores us back to God. It is healing to the sick, sight to the blind, hope to the hopeless. The gospel of Christ remains foolishness to them that are lost, but to those of us being saved, it remains the POWER of God unto salvation.
Brethren, we recommend the Word of God to you. Enough of the excuses; make time to meditate on it day and night. Abide in the Word and the Word in you. You will then be like a tree planted by the water; WHATEVER you do will prosper. Pray Now!
