Topic: Baal – Perazim!
Text: 2 Samuel 5: 20
So David went to Baal-perazim and defeated the Philistines there. “The LORD did it!” David exclaimed. “He burst through my enemies like a raging flood!” So he named that place Baal-perazim (which means “the Lord who bursts through”). Amen
When the Philistines heard that David had been anointed king over Israel, they went up in FULL FORCE to search for him, but David heard about it and went down to the stronghold. David inquired of the Lord, “Shall I go and attack the Philistines? Will you deliver them into my hands?” The Lord answered him, “Go, for I will surely deliver the Philistines into your hands.”
So David went to Baal Perazim, and there he defeated them. He said, “As waters break out, the Lord has broken out against my enemies before me.” So that place was called Baal Perazim, meaning THE LORD WHO BREAKS OUT. (2 Sam 5: 17- 20 NIV)
Beloved, as water breaks out so the Lord will break out against your enemies and their schemes. He is more powerful than water, Yes, Jehovah is more powerful than fire. May He break out for you now in Jesus name.
Do not be afraid if ten thousand people set themselves against you round about. For the Lord is more than a shield for you, He is your glory and the litter up of your head. ( Psalm 3: 6). HIS NAME IS BAAL PERAZIM, the Lord who breaks out against your enemies.
Begin to pray now. Ask for courage and increased faith knowing that the mighty Jehovah fights your battles. Don’t you think you are too fearful! Be strong and of good courage, even if your enemies out number you. It takes God a second to burst out against them like a raging flood and the Egyptians you used to see, you will see them no more.
