Unfinished Business

Today’s Devotion
Topic: Unfinished Business
Text: Revelation 3:1-2

“To the angel of the church in Sardis write: These are the words of him who holds the seven spirits of God and the seven stars. I know your deeds; you have a reputation of being alive, but you are dead. Wake up! Strengthen what remains and is about to die, for I have found your deeds unfinished in the sight of my God.” Amen!

Sometimes we tend to overlook and take for granted provisions that the grace of God makes for us. We appear alive in church and before everyone yet in our closets we know things are different. Our spirit man could be gasping for life because of our disconnection from God.

We allow sin to brew right under “the grace” while neglecting those virtues required to sustain the grace of God on our lives. At the end, we look and act religious, but are actually far from God and His will for us.

Brethren, this is a wakeup call for us all. Let us return to the virtues of prayer, obedience, purity, humility, bible study, patience, service, diligence and generosity. We know God, and all that He requires of us at the office, home, church and school. Let’s get into action and not lurk around with excuses; Jesus comes soon- His reward with Him.

Today and now is the time to gather all our arsenals and get back up on our feet to finish the “every God business” that remains unfinished. Strength to perform, God will provide.
