Background: We want to continue our series on Christian values and practices switching from Hebrews 13 to Ephesians 4.
Last week our focus was on CHRISTIAN LEADERS. Today we want to remind ourselves of the old self we used to be before salvation came. This is essential so that we can understand God’s expectation on how we ought to live. Especially now that we have been saved by grace through faith.
Kindly call the family together, it’s time to study the Word.
Text: Ephesians 4: 17- 19
17 So I tell you this, and insist on it in the Lord, that you must no longer live as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their thinking. 18 They are darkened in their understanding and separated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardening of their hearts. 19 Having lost all sensitivity, they have given themselves over to sensuality so as to indulge in every kind of impurity, and they are full of greed. Amen!

2. What does it mean for the Bible to say gentiles live in the futility of their thinking?
