Who Is This God? (Part 3)

Topic: Who Is This God? (Part 3)
Text: Psalm 146:6

He is the Maker of Heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them — He remains faithful forever. Amen.

For the past two days we have been looking at ingenious abilities of God, especially in the fields of structural and material engineering, architectural designing and interior decor. We will agree, however, that the highest expression of knowledge is not just in its application to life’s situations for excellent results, but also in the ability to impart unto others who should advance it further for greater results.

Today’s discussion therefore is dedicated to uncover:
HOW GOD LITERALLY IMPARTS US WITH ALL THESE SKILLS SO WE CAN BE AS CREATIVE AS HE IS.

After God had directed Moses on how the tabernacle, altar, lampstand, ark, table and the rest were supposed to be made, He further instructed him saying, “See, I have chosen Bezalel son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah, and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with wisdom, with understanding, with knowledge and with all kinds of skills — to make artistic designs for work in gold, silver and bronze, to cut and set stones, to work in wood, and to engage in all kinds of crafts.

Moreover, I have appointed Oholiab son of Ahisamak, of the tribe of Dan, to help him. Also I have given ability to all the skilled workers to make everything I have commanded you: the tent of meeting, the ark of the covenant law with the atonement cover on it, and all the other furnishings of the tent — the table and its articles, the pure gold lampstand and all its accessories, the altar of incense, the altar of burnt offering and all its utensils, the basin with its stand — They are to make them just as I commanded you.” (Exo 31: 2- 9, 11b).

What a great God we serve, beloved! Not only knowledgeable in all things, but also able to impart to us the same creativity to implement His desire here on earth. Did you see how He selected Bezalel and endowed him with His Spirit, knowledge, wisdom and varied skills to lead the building project? He even appointed Oholiab as Bezalel’s able assistant (to demonstrate to us that not all can be leading at the same time).

Finally, He endowed some other skilled workers who should be working under Bezalel and Oholiab to the singular purpose of building and designing structures just as God commands.

Therefore, tell all who are knowledgeable and skilful to not boast in their abilities. It is God’s impartation and endowment that makes us so. For “who makes us different from anyone else? What do we have that we did not receive? And if we did receive it, why do we boast as though we did not?” (1 Corinthians 4: 7).

Meditate on this word. Reflect on the selflessness of God in allowing us partake of His divine nature and sharing with us His creative abilities. Repent of every boast because you could do something better than others. It is just by grace. Begin to pray therefore . Ask for the grace to help you understand that your connectivity to God is crucial for activating your gifts and talents for divine results.

“The people who know their God shall wax strong and do exploits” (Dan. 11: 32b). For it is God who is working in us, enabling us both to desire and to work out His good purpose (Philippians 2: 13).

Therefore, just as Moses was caught up in glory on Mt. Sinai as the Lord instructed him with specific details to build an excellent tabernacle for His dwelling (Exo 24: 15- 17), so it will be for all who will climb up to God in prayer, fasting, obedience, sacrifice and service.

May it be you that is as blessed as that. May you be caught up in glory as God installs His creative ‘software’ in you for greater works and higher territories in Jesus name.
