Today’s Devotion
Topic: Kept By The Power Of God!
Text: Isaiah 43: 13 (NLT)
“From eternity to eternity, I am God. No one can snatch any one out of my hand. No one can undo what I have done.” Amen
In the animal kingdom, it is a common sight to see how the elderly protect the young of their kind, even sometimes sacrificing their very lives to save the young and powerless.
In today’s text, God Almighty speaks with such authority: ‘NO ONE CAN SNATCH ANY ONE OF YOU FROM MY HAND!” He makes us aware that, yes, indeed there are so many predators, evil-doers and deceitful people who plot our downfall.
Many others are “discouragers” who are ever ready to flood our minds with lies, telling of how impossible it is for us to accomplish what God says He would do in our lives. But He (God) is strong enough to ensure our safety and success.
It is important to take note of the following:
* The phrase “From eternity to eternity” means our God existed before the very beginning, and He lives forever.
* “Almighty” means He is all powerful – He has control over every single thing. Therefore we can feel safe in Him alone.
* “No one can undo what I have done” means it is only the counsel of the Lord that will stand in your life. What He has approved for you, is yours forever. His blessings over your life are permanent.
You see why David once wrote that “…surely He will save you from the fowler’s snare and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you will find refuge; His faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday.” (Ps 91: 3- 6)
So beloved, why do you look dejected, and what are your fears then? Your God is and has always been in control. Nothing can ever harm you in anyway. They may try countless times but you will still be standing by grace. The arm that keeps you is a MIGHTY ONE!
Begin to pray with the hymn “Begone unbelief; my Saviour is near…” Thank God for constantly delivering you from plots of evil, and ask for more grace to keep moving forward. Always remember, no one can snatch you from the Hands of the ALMIGHTY GOD unless you deliberately walk out of His covering.
